When you contact Rowell Design Inc. about
your new logo, we will have several questions for you to answer.
1. What type of business are you in? We need
to know who your customers are to design a logo that will appeal
to them.
2. Do you have a color theme? Are you currently
using or do you have a preference for a certain combination
of colors? You can use one color or a full color process. It's
up to you. We may develop a logo based on two or three basic
colors,
3. Do you have examples of logos you like?
It's not necessary to provide samples, but if you can it may
help speed up the creation process.

Rowell
Design Inc. logo. The logo was designed to convey a message
of duality. We have business relationships with a diverse
cross section of business in San Diego and throughout
the nation. Our clients range from large conservative
corporations to small startup music labels and body jewelry
manufactures.

The
Medcon logo and identity design project was a bit of a
challenge. Our client, Del Mar Trade Shows, wanted to
incorporate the double helix into the design. We went
through many versions trying to incorporate a more stylized
modern look to no avail. Finally we used the modular ball
approach allowing us to weave a truer illustration of
the helix. |

Southern
California Electronics Expo logo design. This project's
design specs were to create a logo that was more descriptive
of the company. The elements are pretty self-explanatory
the sun setting over the ocean in Southern California
with the resistor symbol acting as the horizon. |

GemShowOnline.com logo design.

Dask
Land Surveying. This was a fun logo design project. The
Dask company was a startup at the time and really had
no ideas or input on how they wanted their logo to look.
This is what I came up with and I believe this was the
first version. |

Coronado
Ferry Landing design. This logo represents the Landing
rooftops over a New England port-style sign.
The Coronado Ferry Landing is a great
little shopping and dining destination located on the
shore of the San Diego Bay on the Coronado side. The view
of the San Diego skyline is spectacular from the Ferry
Landing and it is a must see when in San Diego.

Ground
Zero was a startup music and promotions company when this
logo was designed. The Saturn and the star field really
has no relationship to the company name, but they wanted
something fun and funky and loved the logo. |

Active
Care San Diego was a challenging logo design. We went
through a couple of rounds of some very nice logos, but
the feeling wasn't right for them until we came up with
this stylized athlete using the A as the body. Active
Care is a San Diego-based health, nutrition, sports training
and consulting company. We just finished the design of
their new e-commerce website. If you're in the market
for premium nutritional supplements or joint stabilization
products check out their site.

The
Shokai logo was designed for a new Japanese-themed nightclub
in San Diego. |

Shining
Light is one of the leading importers and manufacturers
of body piercing jewelry. When I designed this logo, the
company had a more gift-oriented logo, which did not appeal
to its core markettattoo and body piercing shops
across America. I developed a new image for the company
and produced several catalogs for them. Our efforts combined
with Shining LIght's commitment to its salesforce increased
sales by more than 1100%.

Rocket
Promotions and Clothing. Another music promotion company
with a clothing line. This logo unlike Ground Zero has
everything to do with the name. The rocket illustration
is a throw back to a 50's style sci-fi comic. The logo
is tilting to give it a quirky, off-center, fun feel,
just like the company.

Stream
OS™ was an unusual logo design project. Back in
the heyday of internet venture capital,
a client called me at about 7 at night, desperate for
help. He pleaded, "Professor (his nickname for me),
I have to have a logo! We are launching a new software
product and service nationally, and we have to have a
logo tonight! Money is no object. Needless to say, four
hours later, TA-DA! Stream OS. |
